Experience & expertise / Amos Ashley

Broadcast rooms. Live stages. A wider direction.

Made in
the work.

A microphone, a production deadline, a live room—and the practical work of bringing it all together. That is where much of my education happened.

Two decades across broadcasting, production, branding and live technical environments helped shape the perspective I now bring to creative work and systems design.

16 years

Inside Southern Cross Austereo’s network broadcasting environment.

40,000+

Commercials voiced across the career, alongside presenting and production.

01 / Broadcast & network production

One output.
Many moving parts.

Branding, imaging, commercial production and distribution had to work coherently across metropolitan and regional markets. A message needed to reach the right place, in the right form, in time to be useful.

The practical learning covered audience response, brand consistency, communication across teams and the discipline of live operation.

Southern Cross Austereo

Sixteen years inside Southern Cross Austereo meant coordinating work across different stations, teams, brands and audiences.

National Production Audio Distribution Manager

Coordination and distribution of production audio across a national network spanning more than 70 stations.

Network Image Audio Producer

Imaging and sonic identity across station brands and markets.

Network Commercial Producer

Commercial audio production, balancing message, client requirements and broadcast delivery.

Network & Local On-Air Announcer / Program Host

Live presentation, audience interaction and timed programming.

ACE Radio / 1494 2AY, Albury

Show production and panel operation, including live broadcast, outside broadcasts and multimedia production.

02 / Live, technical & commercial work

When the room
is live.

There are moments when preparation has to become performance. You need a clear plan and the judgement to adapt to what is actually happening.

Live events & technical direction.

Hands-on work in audio mixing, lighting rigging, stage production and technical coordination, alongside regional venues and production teams.

Live environments show how much depends on people, equipment, timing and communication working together under pressure.

Multimedia, branding & production.

Television commercial production, voiceover, scripts, narrative development, photography, visual direction, marketing campaigns, web development and digital content.

Commercial work sharpened attention to message, tone, audience retention and response. A creative choice still had a job to do.

03 / Entrepreneurship & framework development

First, work
inside it.
Then question it.

Over time, my focus expanded from producing the work to examining how the systems around it operated.

As founder of Double AA Production & Management™ and founder and Executive Director of Global Stage Management™, I have developed a body of creative work, educational tools and strategic frameworks.

The questions widened: how are decisions coordinated? What sustains a recurring problem? What allows people and organisations to develop capacity?

The practical experience
gave the questions somewhere to start.

04 / Applied capabilities

What comes
into the room.

These capabilities grew out of practical work. I draw on different combinations depending on what the situation needs.

01

Structural thinking

Examining the incentives, responsibilities, information and surrounding conditions that keep a problem recurring.

02

Narrative & communication

Translating a complex idea into a story, script, voice or explanation an audience can follow.

03

Operational execution

Production discipline, technical coordination and live delivery when timing and preparation matter.

04

Brand & incentive alignment

Checking whether what a brand says, what people experience and what the organisation rewards support the same purpose.

05

Cultural understanding

Paying attention to how repeated decisions, language and environments shape behaviour over time.

05 / Foundations & continuing development

The grounding.
The next work.

Formal learning gave me a technical foundation. Industry, independent work and lived experience continued to change the questions.

1999

Advanced Certificate of Media

Wodonga TAFE. Communications, video production, radio, public relations and creative direction.

Earlier education

Wodonga Senior Secondary College, formerly Wodonga High School, and Benalla P–12 College.

Current work.

My current work connects educational tools, human response and wider institutional design.

Human Response Architecture™ & the Mind Bridge Card™

Human Response Architecture™ establishes a systems discipline and foundation for a new industry, centred on understanding human situations, reorganising conditions and restoring capacity. The Mind Bridge Card provides a compact reference for perspective and structured thinking.

Tools We Need to Survive™ & writing

An educational framework and a book in development, exploring personal application, strategy, influence and the structures that shape human environments.

GSM–Windland™

A proposed economic, cultural and governance architecture, with a federal co-investment proposition and a regional application under development.

Asset Uplift System™

A framework for transforming systemic liabilities into civic and economic value.

See what that experience produces.

Explore the creative work, or follow the thinking into systems design and strategic architecture.
