Founder Fund / Amos Ashley
Capacity to carry the work forward
The practical backing
Give the work
a stable
base.
Time to focus. Somewhere to work. The practical foundations that help a long build keep moving.
The Founder Fund is intended to turn the groundwork into working capacity: a stable home and working base, dedicated production space, and the time and resources to carry the wider work forward.
A$4m is a provisional planning allowance, not an amount already raised or a fixed project quotation. The scope and sequence will be adjusted against confirmed costs and available backing. Voluntary public contributions provide an additional way to support the work.

02 / Seven practical purposes
What the backing
would cover.
A stable base, time to work and the practical means to keep going. These seven uses show where the proposed backing would go.
A temporary base. And the things left in storage.
Living and working accommodation during major renovations, with practical office and production setup. Retrieval, relocation and sorting of long-term stored personal possessions.
Renting is the proposed interim arrangement. The location, duration and cost will be settled as the property programme develops.
The Cummings Street base.
Proposed acquisition and stabilisation of the original property, with potential acquisition of the adjoining site. Essential repairs, services, access, storage and bird infrastructure come first.
Dedicated production, office, meeting and recovery spaces form part of the wider, staged concept.
Reliable transport.
A newer vehicle for dependable travel, alongside retention and improvement of the existing vehicle.
Practical mobility for meetings, the work and day-to-day life.
Clothes. Presentation. Showing up properly.
Formal and casual wardrobe development, tailoring and presentation support for meetings, filming and public-facing work.
Personal presentation is an explicit part of the scope, with its costs identified separately.
A salary. Time to do the work.
A proposed founder salary of A$100,000 a year, with provision for approximately two to three years of full-time focus.
The funded period will be set against the wider allocation and available capital.
The everyday running costs.
Administration, postage, communications, practical setup and operating expenses that keep development and engagement moving.
Continuity between the larger milestones.
Professional setup, taxes and fees.
Accounting, legal and conveyancing work, acquisition-related costs, tax handling and the arrangements needed to receive and manage capital.
Initial backing would help establish these arrangements, with professional advice guiding the setup and use of funds.
These are the intended uses within the provisional A$4m planning allowance. Detailed allocations will be established through property negotiations, professional advice and construction quotes, with scope and sequencing adjusted to confirmed costs and available backing.
03 / A proposed sequence
Get the
order right.
Secure the capacity to act, make daily life workable, then progress the property in stages. Professional setup and immediate practical needs can move forward alongside each other.
Put the right support in place.
Engage accounting, legal and financial professionals to establish the arrangements for receiving and managing capital. Address immediate continuity needs alongside that setup.
Establish a workable interim base.
Arrange temporary living and working accommodation, retrieve stored possessions and set up reliable office and production capacity. Improve practical transport and day-to-day operating conditions while property work progresses.
Acquire. Stabilise. Then develop.
Progress property negotiations, due diligence and measured planning. Subject to funding and feasibility, acquire and stabilise the original property before later integration, specialist spaces and shared facilities.
The sequence can adapt to property availability, due diligence, confirmed costs and available backing. Essential repairs and services take priority; the extent and timing of later facilities will follow what the site and budget can support.
04 / The physical base
A place for
the work.
And life.
The Cummings Street concept connects a home, studio, office and meeting spaces with gardens, bird habitats and room for recovery. The Base Compound page sets out the proposed stages and gives you a closer look around.

05 / Major capital enquiries
Let’s talk
properly.
A private conversation about substantial backing.
If you are considering substantial support for the Founder Fund, use the enquiry form below to tell Amos what you have in mind. You can indicate an amount, identify a part of the proposal you would like to support, or ask to discuss the scope privately.
The conversation can cover intended uses, timing, relevant documents and the arrangements needed before any transfer. You can also state whether you prefer anonymous support or public acknowledgement.

06 / A direct invitation
Back the
capacity to build.
Support Amos Ashley’s working capacity and the practical base needed to carry the work forward.
Private enquiry returns to the section above. The donation form opens on the Support page in a new tab.
Support and independence
Contributions support the work without transferring ownership, creating a financial return or giving decision-making authority. Commercial and advisory engagements are arranged separately.
Privacy and acknowledgement
Support can remain anonymous or be publicly acknowledged, according to your preference. Any public recognition, including Founding Supporters recognition, is optional and agreed with you.
Annual Morning Coffee Conversations
Contributors of A$100,000 or more may opt into an annual coffee and conversation with Amos, with a tour once the base is established. Participation is optional, with arrangements discussed directly.
This invitation is separate from the Twelve Handshakes executive advisory practice.
Professional arrangements and documents
Early professional setup is part of the proposed scope, covering the financial, legal and receipt arrangements needed to receive and manage capital. Current documents and next steps can be discussed through the major enquiry pathway.
The earlier Founder Fund overview sets out the initial proposal and indicative cost ranges. The A$4m planning allowance remains provisional; final allocations will follow acquisition terms, detailed design, construction quotes and professional advice.
